Job summary

ENTACT is a national leader in environmental, civil, and geotechnical services, seeking a Field Engineer for Water Treatment in Detroit. The FE will work with field teams to supervise, analyze data, produce reports, and ensure compliance with safety and project goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and experience with SCADA/PLC systems, AutoCAD, and project scheduling. Occasional travel to project sites is expected as part of delivering high-quality, reliable water

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, civil, or environmental engineering.
• Knowledge of Water Treatment System operating systems including SCADA and HMI.
• Michigan certifications A-1 I/J, A-1D, A-2B, B-1B, B-2A are highly preferred.
• Proficiency with PLC/SCADA and control systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD/ Civil 3D knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and complete work per ENTACT safety policy.
• Supervise Water Treatment System operations and oversee commissioning.
• Read water quality data, update Excel reports and track performance.
• Draft/update engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop project schedules and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
• Train operators and ensure safe work practices and procedures.
