Job summary

The City of Auburn (AL) seeks a Water Treatment Facilities Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain water supply, pumping, and treatment facilities. Tasks include repairs, calibrations, and upkeep of instrumentation and SCADA equipment under supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years of relevant experience, and a valid driver's license. Alabama Grade II or higher water certification must be obtained within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains water pumping and treatment facilities.
• Maintains water pumping and treatment facilities’ buildings and grounds.
• Calibrates, maintains and repairs various facility instrumentation and SCADA equipment.
• Maintains inventory of parts and supplies for facilities and equipment.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
