Job summary

Hydromax USA is seeking a Technician Trainee - Water in Grand Prairie, TX. The 3-month trainee program prepares you for Water Technician 1, through tasks in valve exercise, hydrant maintenance, and blowoff maintenance, with progression based on performance.

Role requires outdoor work, safety compliance, and the ability to travel as needed. We offer paid training, weekly pay, and a clear path to advancement within a growing utility services company.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• DOT Medical Certification as required by project locations.
• Physically capable of field work including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to travel as needed, including weekends and some nights.
• Proficient with mobile devices and field data collection apps.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect GPS coordinates for assets.
• Safely operate, maintain, and clean equipment.
• Gather precise data from each inspection point.
• Maintain productivity and discipline during the workday.
• Achieve driving score per company system.
• Use PPE and follow safety protocols daily.
• Paint, scrape, and clean fire hydrants to meet standards.
• Repair hydrants and valve nuts as needed.
• Communicate with support staff and field managers daily.
