Job summary

Kleinfelder is hiring a Water System Operator for the Katy, TX and Sealy, TX area. This flex role offers up to 15 hours weekly, focusing on operating and maintaining pumps, monitoring systems, and collecting samples to ensure safe, compliant water treatment operations.

The role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and a valid driver’s license. Class C license is preferred, with D acceptable if obtainable within a year. Opportunity for growth across multiple plants in TX.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to organize and follow policies and procedures.
• Willingness to spend 75% in the field and 25% in the office.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Water Operator license classes: Class C preferred; Class D acceptable if C obtainable within a year.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pumps, motors, and blowers.
• Monitor and log plant operation details and flow meters.
• Complete work orders and monitor process control systems.
• Collect samples for analysis and maintain chain of custody.
• Provide reports and respond to operational adjustments as needed.
