Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of technical experience in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental health, geology, biology, ecology, or a closely related field was the primary path to qualification.
• A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental health, geology, biology, ecology, or a closely related field is an alternate path.

Responsibilities

• Field inspections of public water systems and preparation of clear reports of findings.
• Compliance reviews to identify violations and prepare notices.
• Emergency response to water system emergencies and assisting with public notifications.
• Provide technical guidance to system operators and officials on regulatory requirements.
• Data entry of inspection results, violations, and related information in databases.
• Collect and handle water samples for laboratory and field analyses.

Education
