Job summary

Provo City Corporation is seeking a Water Systems Operator (Apprentice through level III) to operate and maintain Provo City's water sources system, inspect wells and pump stations, take daily readings, and respond to alarms to keep the water system safe and reliable for residents.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Flagger certificate due within 6 months at Apprentice level.
Grade I/II/III Water Distribution certificates required.
CDL with HAZMAT endorsement required.
Valid driver license and ability to operate and maintain water system facilities.

Responsibilities

Inspect, operate, and monitor wells, reservoirs, pump stations, valves, meters, and related equipment.
Take and record daily readings and respond to alarms and unusual conditions.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on water system facilities and equipment.
Read meters, support water service connections, shutoffs, and leak response.
Maintain logs, inspections, work orders, and reports; follow safety rules.
