Job summary

Water Systems Consulting (WSC) is seeking interns for Summer 2027 who are pursuing Civil or Environmental Engineering, City/Regional Planning, BioResource & Agricultural, or Construction Management. You will work with designers, planners, project managers, and senior staff across water, recycled water, and infrastructure projects in Portland, Folsom, San Luis Obispo, Ontario, Laguna Hills, or San Diego.

Interns will gain hands-on experience through meetings, system modeling, hydraulic

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a full-time BS or MS program in Civil/Environmental Engineering, City and Regional Planning, BioResource & Agricultural, Construction Management, or related field.
• Candidates must be in good academic standing; proficient with MS Office and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in staff, public, and client meetings.
• Modeling of water delivery systems.
• Prepare simple hydraulic calculations and analysis.
• Assist in the research, planning, and design of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Perform technical writing and assist with development of technical reports.
• Conduct site visits.
• Coordinate with subconsultants and vendors.
• Data entry and analysis.
• Provide general program and construction management support.
