Qualifications

• Equivalent to a high school diploma; two years of experience in water or wastewater system operations.
• Ohio Class I certification in Water distribution, Wastewater collection, Water supply or Wastewater works per OEPA requirements.
• Mid-level experience in water quality, supply and wastewater collection.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, operates, and maintains water and wastewater systems.
• Estimates water demands to ensure adequate supply and storage.
• Coordinates system operations with outside agencies to ensure proper system performance.
• Uses CMMS to record data and generate service requests.
• Responds to customer inquiries and dispatches emergency repairs.
• Attends emergency preparedness exercises.
• Completes daily vehicle inspections and housekeeping.
