Job summary

Graham Personnel Services is seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer to support design and documentation of water purification and treatment systems. You will develop technical drawings, assist with project designs, and maintain documentation throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include creating P&IDs and equipment layouts, designing skid frames in SolidWorks, managing CAD files, and generating BOMs. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline preferred.
• Three or more years of professional CAD drafting or mechanical design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to translate technical requirements into practical designs.
• Well-organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Familiarity with piping systems, valves, fittings, and pumps preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Create equipment layout drawings and utility connection plans for customer installations, including gathering field measurements when needed.
• Design skid frames, assemblies, and component drawings using SolidWorks.
• Organize and maintain customer CAD files, ensuring proper document control and version tracking.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on fabrication drawings.
• Produce as-built drawings and documentation for project closeout packages.
• Support the preparation of drawings for new sales opportunities and proposed projects.
• Update and distribute revised drawings as project requirements evolve.
• Assist with additional design, drafting, and project documentation tasks as needed.
