Job summary

Kleinfelder in Elm Creek, Nebraska is seeking a Water System Operator to ensure the efficient operation and safety of our local plants. This flex role offers 6–10 hours weekly and involves pumps, filters, monitoring, and reporting.

Ideal candidates live within 50 miles, hold a valid driver's license and a Class I or higher Water License, with 75% field work and 25% office time. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pumps, motors, blowers.
• Complete and follow-up on work orders and process control monitoring.
• Monitor and record flow meters and system run hours.
• Service and maintain equipment and overall plant.
• Clean sand filters and media filters.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot electrical controls (with proper training and equipment).
• Collect samples for analysis and maintain chain of custodies.
• Log plant operation details, on computer and in writing; prepare reports.
• Monitor treatment processes and apply standard operational adjustments based on those results

Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is hiring a Water System Operator for our Elm Creek, Nebraska area. Our Technical Operators perform various functions in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of the multiple plants maintained daily. This is a flex position offering 6-10 hours weekly.

• Operate and maintain pumps, motors, blowers.
• Complete and follow-up on work orders and process control monitoring.
• Monitor and record flow meters and system run hours.
• Service and maintain equipment and overall plant.
• Clean sand filters and media filters.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot electrical controls (with proper training and equipment).
• Collect samples for analysis and maintain chain of custodies.
• Log plant operation details, on computer and in writing; prepare reports.
• Monitor treatment processes and apply standard operational adjustments based on those results
• The Technical Operator position holds multiple levels, based on experience and state certifications.

Anticipated salary is $30.00 per hour to $45.00 per hour.
