Job summary

Waunakee Utilities seeks an experienced Water & Sewer Manager to lead daily operations of the town’s water and wastewater systems. The role demands strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a focus on safe, reliable service for a growing community.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years in utilities, a WDNR Distribution Certification (or ability to obtain within a year), and a clean driving record; CDL within six months is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 5–10 years in related utility work with 3–5 years in a supervisory role.
• WDNR Distribution Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Valid driver's license; CDL within 6 months and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of water and wastewater systems.
• Provide leadership to water and sewer staff and ensure safety and compliance.
• Plan long-term maintenance and capital improvements for utility assets.
• Collaborate with General Manager, regulators, engineers, developers, and the community.
