Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Experience operating heavy and medium equipment preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow utility maps and manuals.
• CDL preferred; training may be available.

Responsibilities

• Operate tapping machines to make water and sewer taps and service connections.
• Lay and align water and sewer pipes to grade and depth.
• Repair and replace water/sewer lines and related facilities.
• Install, service and test water meters and meter yokes.
• Operate heavy equipment (loader, dump trucks, jackhammers, etc.) as part of a crew.
• Maintain safety and signage for work zones; follow safety policies.
