Job summary

Metro Lagoons is seeking a Lifeguard Supervisor to help manage our outdoor lagoon area and lead the Water Safety team. You will perform lifeguard duties, oversee daily operations, and help with training and audits to ensure guest safety and high service standards.

Flexible shifts across mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays are available. The role requires supervision experience and ARC Lifeguard certification, with training provided by the company.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, BA or degree seeking (preferred).
• Minimum two years supervisory experience (preferred).
• Minimum two years lifeguard experience (required).
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (current ARC; training provided).
• LG Certification (preferred).
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Efficient, well organized, able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.
• Professional manner, discretion, and appearance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable standing/walking outdoors around water in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team that operates water attractions and ensures guest safety.
• Perform opening and closing duties including maintenance and pre-operation checks.
• Maintain area cleanliness and manage supplies.
• Enforce facility safety guidelines.
• Respond to guests in distress and provide First Aid.
• Maintain inventory and reorder supplies.
• Create schedules, prepare reports, checklists, and other paperwork.
• Coach employees on progress with positive reinforcement and fair discipline.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Manage daily budget hours and work with leadership on changes.
• Regularly test ride attractions to ensure guest safety.
• Other assigned duties as required.
