The Point Surf Park in Fellsmere, Florida is seeking Water Patrol Team Members to provide active in-water safety and keep surf sessions organized and safe.

This is an in-water role requiring strong swimming, crowd awareness, and calm decision-making. You will monitor guests, boards, and wave conditions, intervene when necessary, and coordinate with lifeguards, instructors, and operations to ensure a safe, fun experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
• Water-rescue or Lifeguard credentials required before independent assignment.
• Strong swimming, paddling, surfing, and water-entry skills.

Responsabilités

• Maintain active in-water or assigned shoreline coverage.
• Monitor guests, boards, waves, channels, entry and exit areas, and changing conditions.
• Identify fatigue, panic, unsafe positioning, and collision risks early.
• Intervene professionally to prevent unsafe situations.
• Redirect guests or request assistance when conditions require it.
• Guide guests on water entry, paddling routes, lineup position, and safety boundaries.
• Support safe session starts, transitions, wave changes, and guest exits.
• Assist in emergency drills and ongoing rescue training.
• Inspect equipment and report damaged gear.
• Communicate clearly via radio/hand signals and document incidents.
