Water Safety Instructor - Memorial Beach/Dug Pond

Position Overview

Responsible for instructing all Red Cross Learn-to-Swim skills, designing and implementing class plans, and ensuring a safe environment.

Responsibilities

1. Design and implement appropriate class plans for each swimming level.
2. Be punctual, prepared, and organized daily.
3. Communicate regularly with participants and parents about progress.
4. Adhere to the posted schedule and complete all records and reports.
5. Maintain professionalism and a safe, controlled environment.
6. Know emergency procedures and assist in rescues if Lifeguard certified.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification required.
• Adult/Child and Infant CPR certification, or ability to obtain before start.
• This is a seasonal position as defined by the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment Assistance.

Compensation

Starting at $18/hr.
