Job summary

Austin Community College is offering an internship focused on assisting the Table Rock Lake water safety program. Interns will engage with visitors, contribute to conservation, and gain valuable experience through hands-on tasks including interpretive assistance and recreation management.

The role requires being 18+, holding a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors. Compensation includes a weekly living allowance and commuting benefits.

Preferred candidates should feel comfortable interacting with the public and have a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old on the start date.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Comfortable engaging with the visiting public.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretative assistance in implementing the Water Safety Program.
• Accompany rangers during vehicle and boat patrols.
• Work on interpretive displays and visitor assistance tasks.
