Job summary

Rainbow International Restoration of Grosse Pointe is seeking a restoration technician to join our team. You will help restore homes and buildings damaged by water, smoke, fire, debris, or other causes, and show respect to customers and employees.

You will handle water mitigation per IICRC standards, manage job-site equipment, and communicate clearly about scope of work and required paperwork. A valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 100 pounds are expected; certifications are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Restoration experience required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Computer literate with MS Office and spreadsheets.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Certifications welcome: WTR, ASD.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in water restoration, mold remediation, and fire damage cleanup.
• Establish and maintain a schedule to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Respond to water jobs and initiate mitigation per IICRC standards and Rainbow's process.
• Communicate with customers about scope of work and paperwork.
• Maintain all restoration equipment and supplies for job sites.
• Update supervisor with daily activities and issues.

Rainbow International Restoration of Grosse Pointe is an independently owned and operated disaster restoration company serving Grosse Pointe, Harper Woods, Detroit, St. Clair Shores, Eastpointe and surrounding areas. As a restoration technician, you will be a key team member responsible for restoring homes and buildings damaged by water, smoke, fire, debris or other causes. You will demonstrate respect and courtesy to customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in water restoration, mold remediation, and fire damage clean-up
• Establish and maintain a schedule to ensure timely delivery of all services
• Respond to water jobs and initiate water mitigation according to IICRC standards and Rainbow International's process
• Communicate with customers about scope of work and review necessary paperwork
• Maintain all company restoration and cleaning equipment, keeping them clean and properly maintained to be available at all times
• Resolve issues with customers and communicate customer issues, daily job activities with supervisor and key company staff
• Retrieve work orders, check routes for travel and ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on truck needed for the job site

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License required
• Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Computer literate, with working knowledge of work processing, business software and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Certifications are not required but preferred

  • ASD – Applied Structural Drying Technician

Compensation

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
