Job summary

ServiceMaster in Savannah, GA seeks a Water Restoration Technician to identify water damage sources, perform extraction, and monitor equipment setup daily. You’ll work closely with the insurance process, relocate furnishings, and help with light demolition when approved.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly, is computer literate, and able to respond after hours. Restoration experience is a plus, as is IICRC certification; valid driver's license and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Identify source and scope of water damage.
• Perform water extraction.
• Set up air movers, dehumidifiers and monitor daily.
• Remove non-salvageable flooring due to water loss.
• Move furniture and contents as needed.
• Conduct light demolition and hard surface cleaning with approval.
• Document loss with photos and job software.
• Maintain clean job site and equipment.
• Update water coordinator and job tracking daily.
• Communicate with insurance adjuster/agent.
• Participate in on-call rotation.

ServiceMaster, the nation's leader in the disaster restoration services is seeking a Water Restoration Technician for our Savannah, Georgia office.

We minimize business interruptions by quickly analyzing the problem, providing a professional assessment of the damage, determine the services needed for complete restoration, reviewing scope of services with the adjuster, finishing the job on time, and following up to ensure total satisfaction.

DUTIES

• Identify the source and scope of the water damage
• Perform water extraction
• Set up air movers, dehumidifiers or other specialized equipment and monitor daily
• Remove and dispose of any non-salvageable flooring that was affected by the water loss
• Pack out or move furniture and contents as needed
• Perform light construction demo upon approvalPerform hard surface cleaning
• Document the loss with pictures and job monitoring software
• Maintain the cleanliness of the job site
• Maintain the cleanliness of our equipment
• Update the water coordinator daily on the status of the job
• Update the job tracking software daily by making notes
• Communicate with the insurance adjuster/agent
• Must be able to participate in on-call rotation

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have the ability to communicate with others in written and verbal form
• Must be computer literate and familiar with IPhone or IPad
• Restoration experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to work in an environment that has suffered fire, water and wind damage
• Must be able to respond to service calls after-hours and during inclement weather
• Requires a valid driver's license and must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screening
• IICRC certified a plus
