Job summary

ServiceMaster Restoration by Desert Dry is seeking a Water Restoration Technician to monitor and complete restoration tasks, including drying, demolition and associated activities. You will prepare notes, photos and documents to support insurance reimbursements and explain steps to customers on-site with clear, printed materials as guidance.

The role requires on-site work, strong customer service, and the ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in restoration or construction preferred but not required.
  • Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Experience with using mobile software to enter data.
  • Can read and follow product label usage instructions.
  • Punctual with a clean, complete uniform.
  • Must be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.
  • Certifications are not required but preferred: WTR ash; Water Damage Restoration Technician; ASD ash; Applied Structural Drying Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieves work orders, checks route for travel, ensures equipment and supplies are loaded on truck, and arrives at the job site.
  • Explains processes to complete active jobs and next steps to customers using printed materials as a guide with or without supervision.
  • Completes assigned jobs according to company processes while maintaining quality control on each job.
  • Performs water damage restoration including extraction, packing out contents, disposing of non-salvageable materials, and light construction/demolition as directed by supervisor.
  • Ensures equipment, supplies, vehicles, and products are properly handled; reports any malfunctions or damage to supervisor.
  • Inspects jobs after completion, obtains customer signatures for approval, and requests payments when necessary.
  • Performs daily monitoring on assigned water jobs for residential and/or commercial customers with urgency.
  • Adjusts the drying plan daily based on meter readings.
  • Resolves customer issues and communicates with supervisor and key staff.
  • Prepares documentation and pictures according to company policies to ensure reimbursement from insurance companies.

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements
