Water Resources Senior Project Manager

Overview

As a Water and Wastewater Practice Lead for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll help expand the water and wastewater services practice serving municipal, petrochemical, refining, midstream, and manufacturing clients in the Texas Gulf Coast. This position will be located in the Corpus Christi area and report to Houston Operations.

This role involves developing a team of engineers and scientists to conduct water and wastewater projects, as well as leading business development efforts to attract new clients and grow existing accounts. The practice leader will manage projects related to municipal and private sector water and wastewater systems, including water treatment plants, pumping stations, storage tanks, wastewater treatment plants, and collection systems. You will also mentor junior staff on design parameters, plant layout, project integration, and regulatory compliance. Engagement with clients, contractors, and government officials will span from conceptual design through regulatory review, bidding, construction, and project completion. Additionally, there will be opportunities for professional growth and client networking.

Qualifications

• B.S. in a relevant scientific or engineering field; an advanced degree is a plus.
• 15+ years of experience in water and wastewater treatment projects, including facility evaluations, design basis development, technology evaluations, treatability testing, project development, and management.
• Strong ability to interface with clients, develop business, and build a team in the water/wastewater sector.
• Experience with project budgeting and cost estimation.
• Operations experience including WWTP performance evaluations, data management, SOP development, operator training, startup assistance, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in authoring reports and permit applications.
