Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is a dynamic, 100% employee-owned engineering firm. The Fort Lauderdale office seeks a leader to drive local business development, manage staff, and ensure the financial success of the department.

You will coordinate growth plans with office managers and practice leaders, oversee budgets, and guide proposal production. As a technical resource to project managers and staff, you will staff the section, interview and hire, and conduct performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license or equivalent.
• 10+ years’ experience in a specialized discipline.
• Project management and business development experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in Bentley ORD and Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Proficient in ICPR, SWMM, and HED-RAS modeling software.
• Proficient in ArcGIS.
• Experience working with local clients at the county and state level.
• Strong Communication Skills.
• Strong Presentation Skills.

Responsibilities

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
