Otak is currently seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to join our Water and Natural Resources team in our Redmond or Everett office. This person will support project and development initiatives such as urban stormwater retrofit, stormwater treatment/management, green infrastructure, restoration of river/stream/wetland systems, fish passage, hydrologic analysis, hydraulic analyses (pipes and open channel), geomorphic analyses, flood hazard mitigation, and surface water planning.
Otak scientists and engineers are highly educated and experienced in fields including ecology, wetland science, water quality, water resources, fluvial geomorphology, botany, aquatic biology, and fisheries. We prepare technical reports that document environmental baseline conditions and fully satisfy regulatory reporting criteria for permitting and compliance requirements at the local, county, state, and federal levels.
Manage multidisciplinary teams and project delivery, focusing on stormwater infrastructure, fish passage, river and stream restoration, and flood mitigation projects in Puget Sound.
Prepare various reports supporting design decisions and permitting.
Direct and oversee the preparation of floodplain and watershed studies, hydrologic and hydraulic design reports, and construction documents.
Guide staff in preparing design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Participate in team strategy meetings on business development and technical delivery.
Support client development and proposal activities.
Support Otak’s Transportation, Planning, and Architecture business units.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering required (Master’s degree preferred).
Salary Range: $115,000‑155,000 per year
