Job summary

Otak is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to join the Water and Natural Resources team in Redmond or Everett. You will support a range of projects including urban stormwater retrofit, green infrastructure, and river restoration, with a focus on delivering high-quality design and regulatory-compliant reports.

The role requires extensive project management experience, a PE license, and proficiency with hydraulic/hydrologic analyses and common software tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Must possess a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with hydrologic, hydraulic, and geomorphic calculations for design and permits.

Responsibilities

• Manage multidisciplinary teams and project delivery, focusing on stormwater infrastructure, restoration, and flood mitigation in Puget Sound.
• Prepare reports supporting design decisions and permitting.
• Direct and oversee floodplain and watershed studies, hydrologic/hydraulic design reports, and construction documents.
• Guide staff in design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Participate in business development and proposals.
• Support Otak’s Transportation, Planning, and Architecture units.
