Job summary

EKI Environment & Water, Inc. seeks a Water Resources Project Manager to lead SGMA projects for California clients from planning through implementation. You will manage schedules and budgets, oversee models and water budgets, and prepare technical reports and client-facing materials.

The role requires strong communication, project management experience, and a driver’s license. Travel up to 25% is possible. Competitive benefits and ESOP are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hydrology, Geology, Earth Sciences, Engineering or related field.
  • Master’s or PhD degree; Professional Registration desirable.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience with eight+ years for SGMA projects and related water resources work.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate SGMA implementation for groundwater basins with multiple agencies.
  • Oversee hydrogeologic model development, water balances, and simulations.
  • Prepare technical memos, GSPs, and annual SGMA reports.
  • Lead client meetings and coordinate with subconsultants and regulators.
  • Plan, organize, and manage staff to meet budgets and timelines.
  • Develop and deliver presentations communicating complex concepts.
