Job summary

Woolpert in Charlotte, NC seeks a Project Engineer/Task Leader to support water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. You will help deliver technical work, manage budgets, schedules, and QA/QC, and lead a small team to meet client objectives.

This role requires a Civil or related engineering degree and at least six years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to interface with clients. Travel and field work are possible in the Carolinas as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Experience interfacing with clients and managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to lead technical tasks and teams to deliver quality deliverables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis is expected.
• Willingness to perform field work and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support phases of water/wastewater/stormwater projects with client communication and deliverable generation.
• Lead a team of technical staff to deliver scope on time and within budget.
• Manage project phases ensuring QA/QC compliance and timely completion.
• Perform field work as needed and analyze field and water quality data.
• Present information to clients in meaningful formats and meet deadlines.
• Communicate issues that affect schedule, budget or quality to leadership.
• Support stormwater design projects considering local regulatory requirements.
• Interpret stormwater model results for project planning.
