Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. in South Carolina is seeking a Project Engineer/Task Leader to bolster our Water Team. You will support technical delivery on water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, manage budgets, schedules, and QA/QC, and help develop team technical competence.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil, Biosystems, or related engineering and at least 6 years of experience with strong communication. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must have work authorization in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Biosystems, or related engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interface effectively with clients, team members, and other firm resources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support phases of water/wastewater/stormwater projects from client communication to deliverables.
• Lead a team of technical staff to create deliverables within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage project phases ensuring QA/QC compliance and timely completion.
• Perform field work as needed.
• Analyze field and water quality data for client presentations.
• Meet internal/external project deadlines and escalate issues as needed.
• Support stormwater design projects considering local regulations and standards.
• Interpret stormwater model results for project development and capital planning.
