Job summary
Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a Water Resources Engineer in Kansas City, MO, with 4–10 years of experience. You will provide project engineering and task management on municipal water resources design projects and support other divisions as needed.
You will supervise junior staff, conduct stormwater modeling, hydrologic studies, and contribute to permitting and data-driven reports.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
- M.S. in Hydrology or Hydraulics preferred.
- 4–10 years of water resources project experience.
- Missouri Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Provide project engineering and task management on water resources design projects.
- Supervise junior engineers and support staff on hydraulic tasks within complex projects.
- Conduct stormwater collection systems modeling and design.
- Perform floodplain, inundation, and hydrologic studies.
- Perform sediment transport and scour analyses for water resources projects.
- Assist in water resources permitting efforts.
- Collect, evaluate, and present data in technical reports and presentations.
- Prepare engineering plans for detention facilities, storm drains, and hydraulic structures.
- Collaborate with geomorphologists, biologists, planners, and other engineers.
- Contribute to business development, marketing, and proposal preparation.
