Shook Construction in Apex, NC seeks a Project Engineer to help bring projects to life—from planning to commissioning. You’ll coordinate with trade partners, manage schedules and costs, and contribute to estimating and purchasing, while mentoring Co‑Ops/Interns.

The role emphasizes collaboration, quality control, and safety within a fast‑paced construction environment, supporting community‑shaping projects.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of construction experience preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Clear, concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to represent Shook at career fairs and recruitment events.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to build strong relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Lead day-to-day project coordination to keep work moving.
• Support site planning.
• Update schedules and coordinate with trade partners to ensure teams are aligned and on track.
• Manage document control activities (RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc.).
• Procure materials and coordinate their logistics/management.
• Perform onsite quality control checks to verify work meets standards.
• Implement onsite safety plan in line with Shook’s safety culture.
• Support project budget development and maintenance, including pay applications and invoicing.
• Oversee start‑up and commissioning to ensure systems operate as intended.
• Lead project closeout efforts and ensure turnover items are completed.
• Mentor Co‑Ops/Interns.
