Job summary

County of Lake is seeking a Water Resources Program Coordinator to coordinate and implement the department’s programs, including Clear Lake water enhancement and watershed management. The role supports budget development, grant preparation, and administration, with emphasis on water quality and stream restoration initiatives.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of professional experience, with GIS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in water resources, resource management, biology, chemistry, or related field is strongly preferred.
• Two years of professional experience in planning, development, and implementation of water quality, watershed management, and streambed restoration.
• GIS experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, and implements Water Resources Department programs including Clear Lake water quality enhancement and watershed management.
• Oversees water quality monitoring and provides technical consultation on policies and regulations.
• Assists with budget development/administration and with grants proposal preparation and administration.
• Develops public outreach efforts and coordinates with advisory committees and consultants.
