Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Water Resources Practice Leader to direct the national practice, shaping strategy, technical excellence, and growth across all U.S. offices, including Maple Grove, MN. This role partners with leadership to expand capabilities and market presence while mentoring engineering teams.

The candidate will drive the vision for water resources services, identify trends, and manage major pursuits. Requires PE license and 10+ years in the field, with strong client relationships and travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years of experience in water resources.
• 2+ years of leadership experience leading teams, initiatives, or practice areas.
• Demonstrated track record of technical excellence.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and the public.
• Proven ability to develop, win, and retain client relationships.
• Ability to travel periodically for conferences, pursuits, and meetings.

Compensation And Total Rewards

The anticipated salary range for this position is:

• $120,000-$200,000+
• This salary range represents AE2S's good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, technical expertise, licensure, certifications, education, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• 10 or more years of experience in water resources
• 2 or more years of leadership experience leading teams, initiatives, or practice areas
• Demonstrated track record of technical excellence
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, the public, and other employees
• Proven ability to develop, win, and retain client relationships
• Ability to travel periodically to support conferences, project pursuits, client meetings, and other business development activities

Physical Qualifications

• Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
• Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
• May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
• May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
• May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
• May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
