Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Water Resources Practice Leader to drive the nationwide strategy, growth, and technical excellence across all U.S. offices.

You will lead the development of capabilities, mentor engineers, and build strong client relationships to shape interstate project delivery with emphasis on flood risk, urban stormwater, and restoration. You will recruit and guide teams, influence market presence, and advance innovative water resources solutions while collaborating with leadership across

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 10+ years of experience in water resources.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience (team, project or practice level).
  • Strong client relationships and business development experience.
  • Ability to travel periodically to support conferences, project pursuits, client meetings.

We’re looking for a Water Resources Practice Leader to lead this practice across all U.S. locations, driving strategy, technical excellence, and growth. Practice leaders at AE2S focus on the Technologies, Trends, and Training for their respective practices.

Compensation and Total Rewards
The anticipated salary range for this position is:

  • $120,000-$200,000+
    • This salary range represents AE2S's good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, technical expertise, licensure, certifications, education, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • 10 or more years of experience in water resources
  • 2 or more years of leadership experience (team, project or practice level)
  • Strong client relationship and business development experience
  • Proven ability to manage clients, win new clients, and retain clients
  • Ability to travel periodically to support conferences, project pursuits, client meetings, and other business development activities
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Physical Qualifications
  • Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
  • May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
  • May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
  • May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
