Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Group Leader for Water Resources, Planning & Modeling in the Ohio/Michigan/Indiana region. This role combines people leadership, project delivery, and business growth to advance water resources capabilities.

You will guide senior staff, manage complex projects, and strengthen client relationships while promoting a culture of safety, inclusion, and quality. Hybrid work is supported within a national footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience in water resources, utility planning, and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling.
• Expertise with EPA SWMM, PCSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, MIKE+, SewerGEMS, AquaTwin Sewer or WaterGEMS/InfoWater.
• Knowledge of Python scripting, ML, optimization, digital twins, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and staff development.
• Strong client management and business development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow water resources, planning, and modeling services across multiple states.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, and contractual requirements.
• Advance technical excellence and data-driven solutions.
• Promote caring, quality, safety, inclusion, and accountability.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top talent; implement succession planning.
• Foster team engagement and regular communication.
• Support growth strategies, proposals, and client relations.
• Promote innovation and emerging technologies in the practice.
