Job summary

Dewberry is seeking Water Resources Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 to join our Atlanta, GA office.

Earn hands-on project experience in hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater planning while working with a team of professionals on meaningful assignments.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering with water resources focus.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Familiarity with hydrology/open channel hydraulics preferred.
• ArcGIS or AutoCAD experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater master plans, and asset management projects.
• Assist with surface water assessments and stormwater quality initiatives for clients in Georgia.
• Contribute to mitigation planning and project documentation under supervision.

Responsibilities

Typical projects involve hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater master plans, mitigation planning, surface water assessment, stormwater quality, and asset management in order to assist federal, state and local clients in Georgia.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Currently pursuing B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering field required (emphasis in water resources preferred)

• Experience using ArcGIS and AutoCAD a plus
• Knowledge of hydrology and open channel hydraulics preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in basic MS Office software
