Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Syracuse, NY team to plan, design, and manage water/wastewater projects in collaboration with experienced professionals and clients.

You will conduct field visits, collect data, assess assets, and support construction activities with drawings, RFIs and permit closeouts, applying engineering judgment for reliable, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of water/wastewater/stormwater concepts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, design and support management of water/wastewater projects.
• Fieldwork: site visits, inspections, sampling, water quality analyses.
• Assist during construction: observation, RFIs, shop drawings review, permit closeouts.
• Prepare reports, cost estimates, and participate in client meetings.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and contractors.
• Data analytics and asset management evaluations for facilities.
