Job summary

Stillpoint AEC is seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in water resources and stormwater to join a respected civil engineering firm with a strong regional presence. You will lead design and analysis of drainage systems, floodplain studies, and stormwater facilities, providing technical guidance across projects and clients.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, PE licensure preferred, and experience with HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Experience in water resources, stormwater, drainage, or hydro analysis preferred.
• PE licensure preferred; EIT candidates considered.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and floodplain analysis.
• Familiarity with relevant software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM, AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of FEMA regulations and permitting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and support water resources and stormwater projects incl. drainage systems.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, stormwater modeling, floodplain work.
• Develop models to evaluate runoff, conveyance, and flood elevations.
• Prepare drainage reports, plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with municipalities, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on projects.
