We're looking for a Water Resources Project Manager to join the HMB team!

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design systems to safely, efficiently, and effectively transport drinking water and/or wastewater to and from end users, including pumping and storage projects.
  2. Assist senior design staff in designing water and/or wastewater treatment plant projects.
  3. Review and analyze drainage systems for stormwater or floodplains to ensure safety of the ecosystem and public; design necessary conveyance systems to safeguard the area.
  4. Assess the need for drinking water and/or wastewater treatment systems based on current and projected future population and/or development demands; conduct feasibility studies for the construction of public utility infrastructure to meet identified needs.
  5. Analyze various water and/or wastewater treatment technologies, and recommend the most effective method.
  6. Design and develop specifications for various pumping and force main systems.
  7. Collaborate with contractors and government agencies regarding construction of assigned projects.
  8. Ensure design and equipment specifications comply with applicable guidelines and codes.
  9. Conduct feasibility studies regarding water or wastewater collection, treatment, or distribution, and prepare technical reports.
  10. Provide clients with technical support and expertise on water resources issues.
  11. Conduct cost-benefit analyses for projects.
  12. Align with marketing team on RFPs, presentations, and project scoping.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  1. BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
  2. Licensed Professional Engineer registration.
  3. Experience designing water treatment plants is a plus.
  4. 5+ years of experience in public infrastructure projects related to Water Resources.
  5. Project and client management experience.
  6. Ability to guide junior staff and participate in design and detailing of water projects.
  7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  8. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  9. Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative.
  10. Detail-oriented team player.
