Job summary

RK&K is hiring an Engineer to join our Water Resources team in Raleigh or Charlotte, NC. You will support multiple NCDOT and Municipal projects, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals throughout our entire company.

The role emphasizes modeling, drainage reports, and collaboration with project teams, with opportunities for growth and hands-on field support.

Qualifications

BS in Civil/Environmental/BIological Systems Engineering or closely related field.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel/Teams).
0–3 years of water resources engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver water resource projects on time and within scope and budget.
Provide excellent client service with focus on quality and timeliness.
Collaborate with design team members, project engineers, and clients.
Support office and site visits for projects.
Assist with documentation and preliminary modeling for pursuits.
Model complex riverine systems and watershed networks; develop improvement options.
Prepare drainage reports and hydraulic memoranda.
Assist with civil plans development using MicroStation ORD.
Grow in experience to lead tasks.
