Job summary

Weston & Sampson, based in Portsmouth, NH, is seeking an Engineer in our water discipline with 0 to 4 years of experience. The role focuses on planning, study, design, and construction of water supply, storage, distribution, and treatment systems, including permitting and construction.

The candidate will use AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ArcGIS, perform field tasks, data gathering, inspections, and construction observation, and travel to project sites with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0–4 years of engineering experience in water-related projects.
• Either in possession of or pursuing EIT or PE licensure.
• Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with ArcGIS and water resources concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, study, design, and construction of water supply, storage, distribution and treatment systems.
• Prepare plans and specifications for permitting and construction.
• Perform field tests, data gathering, field inspections, and construction observation.
• Collaborate with staff on diverse projects and travel to project sites as needed.
