Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to lead diverse water resources projects across multiple Illinois locations, including Champaign, Chicago, Lisle, Normal, and Tinley Park. You will design stormwater, natural channels, and detention systems, perform hydrology and hydraulic analyses, and prepare technical reports while coordinating with agencies.

The role requires a BS in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering, 10+ years of experience, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of engineering experience is required.
• Professional Engineering License is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple water resources projects from inception to completion.
• Design water resources projects including natural channel design, detention, culverts, and IDOT storm sewer systems.
• Perform hydrology and hydraulic modeling and analysis.
• Conduct floodplain and drainage studies.
• Coordinate with agencies for stormwater permits.
