Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join the Reno/Southwest-Central Water Resources team. You’ll work on water and wastewater design projects across all phases, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver solutions.

This role emphasizes in-person work within the Reno area, with a hybrid policy. Ideal candidates have an ABET-accredited degree, EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months, and an interest in pursuing PE licensure within five years.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• In-person work locally from Reno; must live within commuting distance.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Desire to obtain PE licensure within 5 years.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with water and construction-related projects.

Responsibilities

• Review of construction plans for quantity takeoffs.
• Field investigation in support of construction project development.
• Coordinate with City agencies, contractors, and third parties in the preparation of construction assignments.
• Support the construction team to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved specifications and client quality standards.
• Prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
