Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater Team in Santa Claus, IN, Evansville, IN, or nearby Evansville locations.

Lead the design, development, and implementation of wastewater collection systems, mentor junior engineers, and advance sustainable solutions. This role requires a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree, 4+ years of experience, a PE license, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• Minimum 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation and MS Office.
• Strong QA/QC procedures and knowledge of engineering laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced judgement and analysis to designs, reports, specs for wastewater systems.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate project phases with other disciplines and PM staff.
• Monitor progress to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of infrastructure projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical reviews.
• Support sustainable, cost-effective wastewater solutions.

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater Team in Santa Claus, Loogootee, or Evansville, IN and lead the way in designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions for wastewater collection systems. What You'll Do:

• Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for wastewater collection systems such as sewer and pump stations
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
• Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in vital infrastructure
• Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost-effective solutions
• Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
• Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
• Knowledge of various technologies such as oxidation ditches, activated sludge, extended aeration, waste stabilization lagoons, and SBR
• Knowledge of wastewater design software
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
• Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$105,000 - $120,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
