Job summary

Alliant Engineering, Inc. seeks a Director of Water Resources in Minnesota to lead an established team of engineers and specialists in hydrology, hydraulics, drainage and stormwater for transportation projects. This role drives strategy, client growth, and service expansion.

You will guide proposals, budgets and schedules, mentor professionals, and represent Alliant at conferences, shaping the future of our Water Resources Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years in Water Resources with hydrology/hydraulics.
• Minnesota PE license or eligibility within 6 months.
• Proven ability to present technical information to varied audiences.
• Experience with MnDOT design standards and watershed district requirements.
• Experience delivering water resources for transportation projects.
• Proven track record in proposals and client development.
• Knowledge of drainage design software and hydrologic modeling.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Water Resources Group and growth.
• Oversee design and delivery of drainage and stormwater projects.
• Lead business development and client relationship building.
• Prepare scopes of work, fee estimates, and proposals.
• Mentor staff and manage budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate representation at industry conferences.
