Job summary

Davis & Floyd is seeking a Water Resources Designer II for our Greenville or Florence, SC team. The role supports engineering staff in design development, creating construction documents, and drafting with increasing independence while handling multiple projects.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of civil design/drafting experience, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD Civil 3D), and the ability to work with engineers, clients, and staff to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Technical Design with CAD coursework or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of civil design/drafting experience.
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D proficiency; Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD skills required.
• Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.
• Experience with engineering projects and client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to support engineers with design and drafting activities.
• Develop and draft engineering drawings and plans for projects.
• Prepare maps, cross sections, and client exhibits for presentations.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to meet CAD standards.
• Perform drafting support and maintain up-to-date CAD proficiency.
