Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Designer in South Carolina with experience in stormwater modeling and drainage design. You will contribute to flood studies, 2D hydraulics, and multi‑discipline engineering drawings under a Professional Engineer’s supervision.

Open to hybrid/remote work options across KCI South Carolina offices, with collaboration across civil, transportation, and water resources projects. EIT preferred; PE within two years may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑Accredited Program.
• Proficiency in design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good communication and technical writing skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) preferred; PE within two years may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic studies (floodplain, drainage improvements, climate resiliency, dam breach).
• Design and prepare construction drawings for water resources projects (drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control).
• Utilize Microsoft Office, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, HEC‑RAS, ArcGIS; Civil3D, InRoads, OpenRoads preferred.
• Assist in developing multiple projects and plans under supervision of a project engineer or project manager.
• Coordinate work across multiple engineering disciplines and provide drafting/CADD support.
