Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is helping a well established client in Raleigh, NC hire an experienced designer to design and deliver water resources and civil engineering projects.

You will take on increasing responsibility, mentor developing designers, and work with a collaborative project team. The role requires 2–5 years of water resources or civil engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, and proficiency with Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, and H&H modeling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field is required.
• 2–5 years of water resources or civil engineering experience.
• Experience with Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, and H&H modeling software.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• EI certification or progress toward a PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare construction plan sets, grading plans, stormwater and erosion control plans.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and modeling.
• Work with Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, StormCAD, PondPack, and related tools.
• Support flood studies, drainage design, detention facilities, and stormwater management.
• Coordinate with project teams, jurisdictions, and plan reviewers.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and permitting/submittal packages.
• Participate in field work and as-built certifications as needed.
