Job summary

Barton & Loguidice is seeking a Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our Water Resources practice in Buffalo, NY. You will work on municipal water and wastewater projects within project-focused teams, contributing to design, analysis and reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering, 2–8+ years of relevant experience, NY EIT or PE registration, and strong technical writing and communication skills to interact with teammates, staff and clients.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 2-8+ years of experience in the analysis and design of municipal water treatment and distribution systems, municipal wastewater collection and treatment systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) in NY is required and experience in the consulting engineering field is desired.
• Candidates should also be proficient in technical writing, possess solid marketing and communication skills, be able to interact effectively with teammates, staff and clients, and have experience in the preparation and presentation of proposals.

Responsibilities

• Civil engineering tasks for water and wastewater projects.
• Engineering report preparation and design drawings production; cost estimates.
• Funding program and permit coordination / compliance; proposals preparation.
• Construction phase engineering and project management within scope, budget and schedule.
