As a global supply and demand for water intensifies, solving the world's most complex water challenges demands different thinking- and that’s where we come in.

We’re seeking a Water Resource Recovery Engineer to join our team in San Francisco, California. As an experienced member of our team, you will assist in leading project delivery and client services in planning, design and services during construction for water resource recovery projects. You’ll grow your career by leading master plans and studies, in addition to design projects for pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities. You’ll play an integral role in mentoring junior staff, forming long-term relationships with clients and pursuing new work, including marketing and strategy development, positioning, procuring, and negotiating contracts.

As a WRR Engineer, your expertise is in process design hydraulics, modelling, physical and biological treatment processes and equipment, and applicable regulations to produce meaningful solutions to local, regional, and national treatment project challenges. You will participate in the development of engineering studies, reports, drawings, specifications, contract documents, proposals, and cost estimates; and provide construction administration services and field engineering services during construction as needed.

You will also have the opportunity to assist in leading the project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other requirements stated in the contract.

At Jacobs, we provide the opportunity to design your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow, and succeed - today and into tomorrow. Submit a cover letter and resume to begin your journey.

Our hybrid work environment expectations for team members are an average office/site presence of 2 days per week.

  • 5-10 years of experience in the water industry in designing and delivering municipal water and wastewater treatment projects.
