Job description

Water Resource Control Engineer

This position assists with enforcement and protection of surface and groundwater resources in the Colorado River Basin Regional Board areas within Riverside, Imperial, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties.

Salary

$6,488.00 - $12,152.00 per Month, minimum salary based on classification and alternate range.

Work Location

Riverside County, Hybrid telework.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with enforcement in the Colorado River Basin Regional Board.
  • Protect surface and groundwater resources.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, ability to work cooperatively, and ability to perform the assigned duties of the class.
  • Current and valid driver's license if driving is required.
  • Water Resource Control Engineer list, transfer, or reinstatement eligibility.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Professional experience in environmental investigation and compliance inspections.
  • Ability to evaluate and prepare technical reports.
  • Ability to compile and analyze environmental data.
  • Specific knowledge of field sampling.
  • Experience with compliance and enforcement actions.
