Job summary

Pasco County Utilities is seeking a Utility Worker I/Trainee to support the operation and maintenance of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems. This entry-level role involves performing a range of manual labor tasks under supervision, with potential advancement along a defined career path to higher utility technician positions.

Responsibilities include installing, repairing, and maintaining distribution lines, pumps, and related appurtenances, as well as assisting with site restoration

Qualifications

Graduation from High School or an acceptable equivalency diploma.
Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
Physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds and perform strenuous labor.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and repair potable and reclaimed water systems.
Assist in installation, repair, and maintenance of distribution lines.
Perform field maintenance and use hand and power tools.
Work with crews to support de-watering and shoring tasks.
Respond to public information requests and safety duties.
Follow safety and ADA guidelines; work outdoors under various conditions.
