Job summary

Pasco County Utilities is seeking a Utility Worker I/Trainee to perform a variety of manual tasks supporting water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems in Pasco County, Florida. This position offers two shift options: 7AM–3PM or 1:30PM–10PM.

The role provides a possible five-year career path to higher Utility Worker grades, contingent on certifications, licenses, experience, and performance. Candidates should have a high school diploma and a valid Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and operate heavy equipment.
• Experience with water/wastewater distribution systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains, and repairs potable and reclaimed systems.
• Maintains water and reclaimed water facilities and equipment.
• Assists in installing and repairing distribution lines and site restoration.
• Operates line clearing equipment, pumps, and hand/power tools.
• Responds to public information requests as needed.
